Petrol fuel injector removal
Petrol fuel injector removal is another specialist service we can bring to our customers.
Once again we are the first company to operate this service on a nationwide basis in both the UK and Europe
Many "F" Type Jaguar cars are now suffering from a corrosion issue with the fuel injectors which locks them in.
Whilst this problem does not cause running issues the problem raises its head when an injector fails and needs replacing
Due to dissimilar metals, water ingress, heat etc. the metal part of the injector effectively welds itself to the
cylinder head, this welding makes the injectors almost impossible to remove.
Here at A P Autodiagnostics we have expanded our specialist Injector removal services to include Petrol Injectors
and we have developed techniques and tooling making us very effective in removing these seized in Injectors.
These two images show the extensive corrosion in the Injector tubes
This white F Type was shipped all the way from Northern Ireland so that we could remove the seized injector for our customer far cheaper than a cylinder head at around £11,000 at a dealers !!! ( yes a genuine quoted price)
The injector from this one broke into many pieces during removal but persistence on our part won the day
We were asked who we have removed these injectors for the other day so here goes (respecting the data protection act of course) Multiple JLR dealerships, Multiple Independent Garages. And JLR Warranty and not forgetting multiple private customers from all over the UK.
We are hearing of many quotes from Dealerships in the region of 10 - 11 thousand pounds for the repair of this issue
But only on one of the two cylinder heads
These quotes vary from removing the cylinder head and sending it out to a specialist for removal attempts
or
Replacement of the cylinder head with a brand new one.
Unfortunately the dealer tool for removing these injectors is not the best !!
Our techniques are done without removing the cylinder head and without emptying your bank account !!
This problem doesn't just apply to Jaguars and
unfortunately the bigger they are the harder they fall !!! This V10 Audi had two injectors seized in solid. which the garage had failed to extract. So they called us in and after a few hours we managed to successfully remove them both .
